On Friday 17/10/14, three of the young people along with Lisa and Lee from Linn Dara School took part in some fun Halloween cooking to welcome the season of Witches and Wizards; Ghost and Ghouls. The young people did such an amazing job and were at home in the kitchen. We are so proud of them because they really gave it their all and tried everything, even though they had never used the recipes before. We made pumpkin soup, monster meringue nests, dirt cups and scary tombstones.
The funniest part of the morning had to be carving the pumpkin. In fact it was all of the young people’s first time to carve a pumpkin.
They named the orange faced pumpkin; Barry; with some suggestions from Lee of course. Barry now sits in the sitting room in Rowan Unit.
