Linn Dara School support students who are admitted to either Linn Dara Child & Adolescent Inpatient Unit or Linn Dara Adolescent Day Programme (LADP). We are a Department of Education special school for children and adolescents who are experiencing severe emotional disturbance. Our school patron is the Health Service Executive (HSE).
We provide continuity of educational provision for children and young people who are temporarily absent from mainstream school due to their medical needs. We are located on the campus of Cherry Orchard Hospital, Dublin 10. The Linn Dara School Transition Programme (an outreach class that provides young people attending CAMHS, who are not currently engaged in education with a nine week education support programme) is located in Quarryvale Community and Leisure Centre, Dublin 22.
Our vision is to be a centre of excellence which offers high quality holistic educational experiences and support for all our young people in a caring environment which promotes individual achievement not only in academic areas but also in their personal development. We at Linn Dara School place the wellbeing of our students at the core of our daily life, encouraging students to acknowledge their talents, their potential and their goals.
